Lieutenant William King Ball (Woodstock)
 
He enlisted as a Lieutenant with the 168th he was just finishing his studies at the Woodstock College. He was born in Woodstock, Ontario on June 3, 1897 and states his next of kin as his Father, R.N. Ball. He was an active member of the Oxford Rifles. William became a qualified instructor in musketry and the Lewis Gun. He served overseas and saw action in France. He returned home and created a nice life for himself in Woodstock. He stayed active in the Militia and in 1928 was appointed Lieutenant-Colonel of 
the Oxford Rifles.
