Norwich & District Historical Society

The Norwich & District Museum is housed in the 1889 Quaker Meeting House. The seasonal outbuildings, open May to September, include two barns dedicated to the Society's extensive agricultural, dairy and manufacturing artifacts, the original Saltbox home of Norwich's first settler, Peter Lossing, an early 20th century Quaker schoolhouse, Blacksmith Shop and the 1861 Gore United Church. The Norwich & District Archives contain Township of Norwich records and archival holdings for local family histories and genealogies, census records, historical maps, an extensive photo collection as well as countless resources on the founding families of Norwich Township.
